Adams House Dental Practice Remains Open.

There are no restrictions with regards to medical treatment and you are actively encouraged to keep your appointments. At Adams House Dental Practice we have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and will continue to follow our high standards in cross infection control.

What next?

Please continue to attend your appointments. We have excellent infection control procedures along with a robust triaging policy to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.

Please do not attend the clinic unless you have an appointment.

When you arrive:

To avoid overcrowding when you arrive at the practice, we ask that you wait in your car or in a safe place outside of the practice until you are called in. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for an appointment due to social distancing guidelines.

We advise that you wear a mask at all times while inside the dental practice and only remove your mask at the request of the dental professional. As you enter the building you will need to use the alcohol disinfectant rub to disinfectant your hands. We will continue to check your temperature and if this is above 37.8C, you will be advised to rebook your treatment and to follow government guidelines.
We will be booking your appointments to ensure that the Practice and waiting areas are not overcrowded. We will do this by leaving suitable gaps between appointments, making sure that you can attend the practice while maintaining a suitable distance from one another in accordance with government guidelines.

The treatment rooms will be prepared prior to your appointment with all surfaces disinfected after each patient. We have sourced PPE and unlike the start of the Pandemic (March 2020 in the UK), there is no shortage.

Please do not be concerned as we continue to maintain high standards of cross infection control.

We will ask that you pay using a contactless card. This crucial step greatly reduces touch points at the practice


For us to open as business as usual we have had to implement a charge of £20 towards extra measures we have had to put into place including:

-Extra personal protective equipment/Inflated costs
-Extra staff
-Extra training
-Fallow time between appointments for aerosols to settle and deep cleaning
-Extra cleaning materials
-Installation of extractor fans in surgeries for 10 air changes per hour

We understand this may not be favourable to you and we are disappointed that we have had to ask patients to pay this fee; it is a temporary charge which we fully intend to remove as soon as possible.

These measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of both the patient and the staff.

We have opened to offer a service to our patients where other practices have decided to remain closed, other practices have had to close their doors permanently as they cannot afford to run any more.
